Cage

Should my hamster Cage have levels or not?

I don't know if it would be good for a Syrian Hamster to have levels or not in her cage... I am scared that she might fall and like brake a leg, so do you reccomend a cage with levels? I know alot of people have them.

  1. i think there great as hampsters like to explore and it might get boring for them if you have a plain cage
  2. yea, u should let Syrian have a leveled cage. cuz it's good for hamsters 2 run around.
  3. i had one and it loved its leveled cage!! it would explore all the levels[3] and wouldn't ever get tired of it so yes i would recommend it.
  4. Its not very important your hamster would be fine with out, but it would get boring in a plain cage... Yet still eventualy over time it would get boring even with the levels so really its up to you...
  5. my hamster used to have levels and he liked it but i had to change his cage because it broke
  6. My sister used to have a hampster and it had levels but it fell down one of the tunnels and broke its hip. I would put little tunnels to the sides leading to different rooms but I would hate for another little furry friend get hurt like my sisters. =[
  7. Yes its perfectly fine for her to have levels in her cage, thats what they make them for. Hamsters love to run & be active to prevent her from becoming bored. Its not very common that your hamster is going to brake her leg from the fall they are pretty good climbers. I wouldn't worry about it Your just being a worried mommy!
  8. You should definitely give it a leveled cage. If your worried about the hamster falling, get a cage that has full floors.
  9. Yes!! Hamsters are GREAT CLIMBERS. It will enjoy haveing levels in its cage!!!! I know I have about 30 Hamstes. I own a pet store
  10. YES!!! Hamsters love levels they like exploring and finding new places but if its metal with bars watch her walking on it to make sure the feet dont fall threw its ok to get metal but try to cover the bars with carboard (make sure to replace it ) in the wild hamsters are always exploring and burrowing especialy at night
