How to dog proof a guinea pig cage?

I have my guinea pig cage and all the guinea pig stuff in my room. I feel bad that my medium sized beagle isn't able to come in my room anymore. He gets very excited so I'm scared. How do I dog proof my cage?

1. Put it somewhere where the dog can't get at it.
2. ahh dog proof... well beagle is a hunter after all, put the cage somewhere the dog can't reach, and may be you can consider introduce the piggy to your dog. Most of the time more you keep the piggy away from the dog, more exciting your dog will be when it sees the piggy. let it know it's not something interesting or special ( cuz you hold the piggy in your arm, but not him). well my labrador never hurt my hamsters, she was curious about them too, cuz i always have them in my arm, she got a bit green eyed, but i let her smell them sometime then she knows that they are part of the family too!!!
