Why is there a smell coming from my cockatiels bird cage?

I have two twin cockatiels and have had them for awhile! But lately there has been a smell coming from there bird cage. Its not stinking up the whole downstairs just with in their bird cage. What can i do to get the smell gone? And why does it smell?

2. You should clean their cages, because if you don't it can get more smellier and dirtier. Or maybe they are both sick. If you think they are take them to a vet. It is very hard to tell when a bird is sick because in the wild if they are sick, predators will try to eat them, because they are weak and easy prey.
3. Clean their cage thoroughly. The best way to make sure you get it very clean is to throw out the old paper that was lining the bottom, take the cage outside, scrub all parts with cleaner of choice, and allow the sun to disinfect it as it dries. Once totally dry, put it back together and put some fresh paper in and voila. Smells beautiful.
