Best place to put your dog cage in your house?
We bought a dog cage for our dog that we are getting this weekend. Where should we put it? In the living room? The hall way? Whats the best place to put it so that it gets a little bit of everything.

- the best place is a room that you use often, like a den or family room where the family gathers and assembles together. You dont have to put him in the middle of the room, but maybe off to the side (not like in a blind corner), but still where he/she feels your in the room.
- I hope its big enough for the dog to be comfortable, I personally can't cage the pups when in the house. They have a pen outside for when we have people in our backyard and doing yard work. Pay attention to your dog, where does he like to sleep?
- In the room where most of your family spends most of their time. I put my dog's crate under the kitchen table. Even when he wasn't closed inside, he chose to lie in it so he could watch me cook; he knew anything that hit the floor was his, but only with permission. And it was a small kitchen; if he hadn't been under the table he'd've been stepped on several times. It worked for us.
- You should put it somewhere you spend a lot of time at. Like next to a computer desk if u spend a lot of time on the computer. couch if u watch tv a lot. etc. :]
- We have one in our living room for during the day and one in our bedroom for at night! Why kind of kennel is it? They make kennel covers that work really good it covers the whole thing but leave an opening for the door so its like a cave to them my puppy crys unless she is in a covered kennel. Good luck with the new pup!
- I would say to put Him/Her were ever you are the most like a livingroom or den
- First put the crate where you can keep an eye on your dog and as you trust your dog and yourself more move the crate to the room the dog goes to the most. They are den animals so don't forget to put a pillow and some toys, think of it as the dogs bedroom, where he can be alone. You know that we all need alone time sometimes. Good luck
- Generally the living room or family room. Most dogs like to hang out in the crate when they are resting, and watch the rest of the pack. When I brought my current dog home he spent 75% of the 1st week in the crate (door open) watching us go about our day. He still goes there when he is tired, or he has gotten his fill of attention from party guests.
- I'd say where he can see out the window. Most dogs enjoy looking out the window.
- We have 2 for our puppy. One in the bedroom where we sleep, the other in the kitchen because we require him to wait in there (door open) while we eat. We have a playpen for him in the family room. But you can always use the same crate and just move it from room to room if you need to.
