Can I put my Dwarf bunny in a hamster cage?
Okay so I am getting a Dwarf bunny and I am planning on litter training him/her and I was wondering if it would be okay for him/her to live in a hamster cage for about 1-2 weeks on and off until we get him/her litter trained. And this hamster cage is a half desent size and looks sorta like a bunny cage besides the wheel witch I am sure I can take out.

- it should be ok but i think for the first week you should put him in a regular size cage and allow him to get used to everything around him. dont start trying to train the bunny right away like you would to a dog, because rabbits just need more time to get comfortable. I would say use the hamster cage for litter training isnt a good idea because once you put the bunny in a bigger cage, it might get confused and end up forgetting all about training. good luck!
- no way tooooo small and cramped they like to strech out . Don't be fouled by"dwarf" I have a mini lop which is larger than a regular lop.
- No way. I rabbit needs a bigger cage, even a dwarf. It needs plenty of room to lay down completely stretched, and tall enough for it to stand. The rabbit I have now, I got him when he was 6 weeks old, a bit young and he was the size of my hand. He had so much energy he would run back and forth in his cage knocking sliding into the sides (even though I gave him plenty of time to roam and run around my room) The smallest cage a rabbit should have it about 1 1/2 feet by 3.
