  1. well you should just spray it with water and you don't have to get a new wheel or water boddle just clean them
  2. It needs to sanitized to kill any germs left behind. Just clean it with a bleach solution and rinse it thoroughly, then let it dry before putting bedding it. Also clean any houses or toys you are putting in with it.
  3. You can probably find some pet cage disinfectant at your local pet shop, which should do the trick. Use it to wipe down the inside of the cage and all the toys, wheel etc. If you cant get pet cage disinfectant some ordinary household disinfectant is a good substitute and can be bought at most supermarkets.
  4. u can get a new cage, but what i recommend is filling up the sink or a bucket with hot water and soap and taking the cage apart and soaking all the pieces for about 15 minutes. when thats done, scrub the pieces and let them air dry. that should do it. hope my answer helps u!
  5. Hi I normally just mix detol and alot of water so the bleah aint to strong and i just wipe it all out with that! Good Luck!
  6. yeh just scrub it very well. If you think that it still isn't safe for ur new hammy then just get a new cage if you need something that isn't to expensive there are lots of cages that have lots of space and are affordable. well good luck with ur new hamster! enjoy
  7. Take everything apart, even the water bottle, and place it in something large enough where you can submerge it in water (tub, large sink, etc). Fill the container with hot water and add about two caps of bleach to the water and let sit for an hour. Then drain water and rinse each piece carefully. This will disinfect the cage properly and remove any scent that may make the new hamster uncomfortable. Just be sure to rinse thoroughly. The hamster more than likely will chew the cage and would accidentally ingest bleach.
