  1. I suppose it would be ok if it is large enough for the birs to be able to flp its wings without hitting htem on the cage ... also make sure thst the spacing in the cage is small enough that your bird won't get its head caught. 1/2 an inch apart for parakeets3/4 inch for large birds. Hope that helps!
  2. No. These cages are designed specifically for the animal. A bird needs a bird cage. Don't put a bird in anything but a bird cage. Please. You can get away with putting reptiles (especially snakes) in other cages but do not do this to a bird. I have had numerous snakes and different lizards. They were all housed in the proper Vision cages. My bird has a kick butt bird cage and some serious toys.
  3. Yes of course you can. If the mesh or bar spacing is correct for the bird and the access door and perching or platforms are easy to adapt and use, no reason why you cannot. I have seen some of those reptile cage and they are well made and strong and very much like a bird cage anyway. So if it is right for you and your birds and the price is right...go for it.
  4. I'm only going to say no because you mentioned an African Grey. You're severely underestimating your Grey's beak power. They could mutilate and break those bars no problem. Even if he doesn't make a hole large enough to escape from, he could severely injure himself. If you can't afford a proper cage, what makes you think you can afford emergency medical care if that happens? You should check the internet for "affordable" African Grey sized cages- but keep in mind that you're probably not going to find one for under $150. I got mine for about that price, and with it's play stand is a little taller than I am. Another thing to consider is that maybe if you can't afford an proper cage for your African Grey, then maybe you should hold off on getting an African Grey until you can afford it. If you're going to do this, you might as well do it right.
