What type of cage disinfectant do you use?

Im just wondering if anyone out there who has a hamster or other small animal what type of cage disinfectant do you use and which is the best one or are the all the same. Thanks for you answers.

1. Plain old bleach is a very good and cheap disinfectant. Don't use it full strength!!! You only need a small amount mixed with water. Maybe like a quarter cup to a quart of water. Wipe all down good and allow to air dry. There won't be enough residual left on the cage to hurt your hammy. We used this on all of ours. Happy Cleaning.

3. Dawn dish soap...just a little bit with some warm water, and rince well. It works great.
4. That's easy. I saw spray cage disinfectants at the Pet Smart store. However, you made find some at WalMart which would definitely be more less expensive. Generally, they all have the same ingredients but they work great.
5. Don't use any chlorine-based products. Instead use diluted hydrogen peroxide. If you can't get hold of any, use one of those oxy-cleaner products e.g. Vanish oxy-clean. The oxygen will get rid of bacteria and the soapy base will help with the cleaning. Rinse throughly and dry well before reintroducing the animal.
6. Oxyclean. It works good, disinfects, but isnt as strong as bleach. Just make sure you rinse it out good
7. me i take an old spray bottle and put a capful of bleach in it then fill it with water then after i spray the parts of a hamster cage i wash with warm water i know it sounds cheap but it works
8. you can by a spray by johnsons types ofr all kinds of small animals it is a disinfectent and actually smells nice
9. just a spray disinfectant for animals from the pet shop. (pets at home, in the uk, to be exact.)
10. I recommend: PETLIFE the makers of vetbed's. Its formula .H. Brilliant stuff - it is around £11. It lasts for ever, as its a concentrate - you can water it down plenty and still get its benefit. It kills most germs and that includes things like parvo etc..................
11. hiya when we bred rabbits we used the baby stuff called milton it didn't harm them and we used to do their bottles in it too xx
