- i recommend the one that looks like a Habittrail. it is plastic with sevearl outlets for tubes and lets him move from a larger cage to a smaller sleeping one. Hamsters are super active and need to move around alot. Get the rolling ball too. Good Luck!

- http://petco.com/Shop/Product.aspx?familyid=15484&Ntt=crittertrail%20y&OneResultRedirect=1 Petsmart sells this cage as well. I currently have X, Y, and Z versions, but Y is by far the best! Great amount of space/room, the wheel is virtually silent, my hamster loves climbing into the lookout, and adding extensions is very easy!! Easy to clean too!
- This is the type of cage my sister used for her hamster, and it worked great. http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2752706 I don't recomend a plastic cage, because any hamster can easily chew through it.
- I used to have a teddy bear hamster myself, it depends on how many your going to have, 1-3 hamsters can live comfortably without needing a huge cage. I think the hamster cages are pretty standard, size wise. If you want a large cage for them, I had a glass fish tank, it was inexpensive, easy to clean, i just rinsed it out, and they can't climb out. don't mess with buying a lid, (unless you are concerned about a smell or cats) but they don't stink unless you don't clean it for weeks. Hope this was helpful!
- there's pros and cons to any kind of hamster cage. with a syrian hamster(which is what a teddy bear is), if you get a cage with tubes make sure the tubes are roomy enough that the hamster won't get stuck. this happened to my hamster olaf because he's a bit chubby.
