  1. probably yes because guinea pigs are very social animals and so are some hamsters
  2. If you want the Guinea Pig to be the only one left alive you can.
  3. I think it might be a little small considering guinea pigs are like 5 times the size of hampster.
  4. oh. well. why can't you?
  5. Hamster cages are kind of small. Guinea Pigs can get to be pretty large. The cage has to be big enough for the Pig to move around in. So,,,, I'd say no.
  6. No way, a hamster cage is far too small for a guinea pig, sorry but you are going to have a buy the $100 but it will be well worth it, and hamsters and guinea pigs will not get on well at all!
  7. You could do that, but the poor thing may feel cramped. I've had several guinea pigs and we had them in large fish tanks for a while (they couldnt jump out and had enough room to move). You could try looking on craiglist for a cheaper cage.
  8. I recommend you calling petland and asking them. But you do know a guinea pig is bigger and would need more room to run around. Because a hamster is a whole lot smaller. I would recommend a bigger cage.
  9. if my friend can put hers in one of those small cheap birdcages then im sure you can put yours in a hamster cage.
  10. man that would work.it doesnt really matter what you use. you could use a box if you wanted to!!!
  11. i dont think that would be big enough for a guinea pig. it needs space to move!!
  12. HECK NO! A hamster cage is WAY to small for a Guinea Pig. Try buying a rabbit sized cage. Also I wouldn't recommend buying a pet at a pet store...ESPECIALLY Petland. Try adopting one from your local humane society. If you can't find any there try hoobly.com, kijiji.com, and craigslist.org.
  13. simple answer: NO. (its toooo small).
  14. Of course not. Have you seen http://www.guineapigcages.com ?
  15. No, hamster cages are WAY too small for a guinea pig. Guinea pigs need at least 7.5 square feet of cage. You can build a Cubes and Coroplast cage for cheap, and it will be bigger than cages you can get at the store. Also, guinea pigs like to have a friend. They are much happier this way, just make sure you get 2 of the same gender and introduce them carefully, if they aren't a bonded pair already. If you decide to get 2 piggies, you will need (ideally) 10.5 sq. feet. Look on guineapigcages.com for more information on what kind of cage you will need for your guinea pig.
