  1. is it wire or plastic? we need more details on what kind of cage this is.
  2. Spray it down with a hose after taking everything out and leave it in the sun
  3. dont put the dog in the cage
  4. i use soapy water baking soda and a very little bleach and a hose then i let it air dry out
  5. errm can i please ask if it may not be rude? but why the heck do u keep ur dog in a cage? tats animal cruelty
  6. The cage shouldn't be a problem just spray a little windex. and dust. The tray should have a nice little blanket or cushion that can be put in the washing maching and dryer to get rid of hair. The animal shouldn't be eliminating in his/her cage. - ever... If so he isn't being walked enough. Poor little guy... :( It's a place for sleep - w/ the door open.
  7. Get a Hose, spray it down, then use a scrub-brush & repeat. If the attitude towards cleaning the cage improves, it will be a simple task!
  8. ugghh...i would have issues too... Since i am guessing that it is an outdoor dog cage...assuming this...I would lay a piece of tarp down after you clean it once...then next time you need to clean it you can just grab the corners of the tarp bundle them together dump the "dookie" and spray the tarp with a hose...I think this would be much easier then picking up every piece of #2.
  9. i would suggest a fragrance free germacide cleanser....however, the real issue would be why the dog messes in it.....is he in there too long? is he properly trained? is he getting enough time socializing? if the dog is spending excessive amounts of time in a cage, is this the best situation for you and the dog? exercise, exercise, exercise the dog.
  10. To clean your dog's crate, you can take it outside & hose it out. Use a mild cleaner or even an antibacterial dish liquid would work. The air-drying someone mentioned is a good idea. You don't want your dog exposed to chemicals in his crate, so make sure it's rinsed really well
  11. uhm... just wash it with soap and water.... then if you want it clean... dont give the dog some food that has lots of liquid in it so it wont be hard for you taking the dirt off the cage... but if you give it dog food, there's no problem....
  12. that's easy!! get rid of the dog, if you haven't figured that issue out yet. then what's the point having a dog???!!
  13. I am not sure if you are talking about the wire or the pan. The pan can be wiped daily with vinegar water. Once a week take the pan outside and spray with diluted bleach water rinse good that sanitizes it. The vinegar put one 1/4 cup in a spray bottle fill with water spay down the pan wipe it out, it is not harmful to your dog or the environment and the vinegar will neutralize the smell. as for the wire part once a month take it outside and use a good old scrub brush on it rinse well let it dry in the sunshine. If you are an apartment dweller just use a rag and vinegar to wipe down the wire. hope this helps
  14. The best is vinegar and water. You do not want your dog constantly bombarded with "germicides" and "antibacterials". Vinegar is a natural, safe, cleanser. You can make up a spray bottle of vinegar, and water or even tea tree oil and water. . . .natural, better for the environment, and wayyyyy better for your dog. If you have an outdoor dog run, mix a few buckets of water and vinegar together, after you have done your daily poo patrol, the solution should be applied to the floor or ground.
