Who else thinks this way about UFC/cage fighting sports? Two semi-literate, muscle-minded bullies get into an arena and proceed to pound each other senseless. It's stupid! Think of all the money wasted on idiotic, violent sports when it could be funneled into charity or medical research instead. Who else agrees?
What type of people watch cage fighting like UFC? Specifically....? I am deciding whether to sponsor several cage fighters, but wondering what type of audience it might attract. I know most cage fighters are very professional people with high degrees in their specified martial arts, but the audience seems rowdy and violent sometimes. So basically I would have a mix of cage fighters and the people who love watching cage fighting.
UFC (cage fighting)? I rate chuck Liddell & Randy Couture as 2 of the greatest real fighters ever in real sports. / Who do you rate as the greatest? Can be any real fighter from any fighting sport

Cage Fighting without weight classes or rules? Hi are there any orginisations that host Cage Fighting like the original UFC with no rules and open weight classes, basically street fighting with more experienced and dedicated fighters? If so where could I watch it for free?
Is MMA and cage fighting respected by Martial Artists? I'm not a MMA hater, but I was talking to one of my friends about the respect a mixed martial artist (notably the ones that fight in cages like in UFC and in rings like PRIDE FC), and I was wondering do any of them get respect from Grandmaster martial artists and expert Martial Arts practitioners? Is it a revered style or is it denounced and considered a "disgrace" to Martial Arts? Please, I want serious answers. I don't mean to sound offensive if it seems that way.
UFC Cage Fight? Who would be the last man standing?...The contestents will be......Chuck Liddell.......Rampage Jackson........Dan Henderson...............and Randy Couture. In a free for all I would go with Liddell.....w/ Henderson right behind him. Please don't SPAZZ out ....I know it will never happen.....I'm just bored. so play along or leave......Peace

How do you get into organized cage fighting? I live in seattle and being 20 years old while training MMA for a number of years, has me intrigued in the idea of organized cagefighting (specifically the UFC). I have a wide rang of background in mma from Muay Thai and CSW (combative submissive wrestling) to JKD and Panantukan/Kali. I have no background in fights at all...im fresh out of the box. HELP ME PLEASEE!! Thanks.
Obama VS Palin who would win in a Cage fight ? Who would win in a UFC cage fight, Obama or Palin ? I know how you democrats are so UFC rules applies. You can find them at this site http://k-1.azplayers.com/fighter/UFC_rules.html I don't know about you, but if this was on paperview, i'm sure it would brake all records. So who are you going to place your money on? and why ?
UFC Fighting? where is a good place to go for cage fighting (to compete)
birthday present for boyfriend UFC? My boyfriend is really interested in UFC (cage fighting) but I don't know much about it. His birthday is in July, does anybody know if there is any fights on around that time up anywhere in England that i could take him to? or any other gift ideas? thanks
UFC? Is it possible.? Hey, I'm 16(17 in April), always been a big lad for my age. Was considering trying to get myself into some sort of UFC, Cage Fighting, anything that in end results leads to cash, and tv. I know that his is a LONG way off, but i wanted to see how i faired compared to others my age etc. I am wanting to know, what styles it is best for me to take up, how long i will be expected to train at these before I can get into amateur bouts, and... is it is even possible? am i too young to aim for this now, due to the fact that i would need to get REALLY back into shape.. I live in the UK, Newcastle upon Tyne... if this helps :D Thanks, Joe
Why do you people all think UFC is martial arts fighting ? It's a freaking joke. No real martial artist would go anywhere near that crap.A real man doesn't need to show he can win a stupid fight. A real man knows he would win and therefor doesn't need to fight at all. Street brawlers in a cage. It's nothing more than legalized cock-fighting. What a joke. You people are all violence seekers. You all need help!
How do UFC fighters get sponsored? Not that I wanna be a UFC fighter, I was just curious. I know there are small cage fights outside the UFC, town, city, and state stuff. But how do fighters make it to the actual UFC?
Is it illegal to throw someone into the cage in the UFC? Sometimes you will see someone like Matt Hughes lift an opponent completely off the ground, could Hughes run and slam him into the cage if he watned to or is that illegal? Also sometimes you see a fighter get another fighters back while standing. Could the fight who has their back taken use slamming against the cage as a defense? Another slamming question. The slam seems to be effective against the triangle. Are there any other slams that can be used from a defensive position? I know I've seen one guy try it in the guilotine but it actually put him in more jeporady. Would it work in against an armbar if you had a grip on your other hand? Could you do a slam from inside the guard?
best way to train for your first cage fight? like ufc style fight? mine is on may 18th ive been training since this past monday (you know running in place jumping jacks push ups and crucnches) but what other ways could help me? *crunches*
i need a catchy cage fighting phrase? like say i wanted to have a t-shirt or something made....and i want some sort of snappy line like.....enter the cage, or cage of courage or something, nothing that says ufc or pride and anything just something cage symbolic......can any creative minds out there think of any? good answer thus far, thanks a lot, and keep 'em coming!!i'm trying to go for short and sweet, maybe 3-4 words only. good answers thus far, thanks a lot, and keep 'em coming!! i'm trying to go for short and sweet, maybe 3-4 words only. torskie, you made me laugh......
UFC Cage Match, Part 2? In a 4 way free for all fight in a cage, whom would win? the contestents are : Matt Hughes.....GSP.......W. Silva......and...Tito Ortiz. I think Tito would win this one, I bet he would play it smart and take care of Silva, then chill in a corner until Hughes and GSP kill each other, and then clean up. Once again, Please don't FREAK out....I know it would not happen....So play along or leave.....Thanks
what if there were a cage fighting tournament with actors who are supposedly martial artists? who would win? Tournament style like the old ufc used to be. Included in this tournament would be jean claude van damme, jackie chan, steven seagal(in his prime of course), bruce lee, chuck norris, jet li, john rambo and bolo yeung. matchups for the first round 1. Jet Li vs. Jackie Chan 2. Bolo Yeung vs. Steven Seagal 3. Chuck Norris vs. Jean Claude Van Damme 4. Bruce Lee vs. John Rambo Results for these fights and the winner of the whole tournament aprreciated.
I wanna be a ufc fighter? I dont really have any experience in cage fighting except for watching UFC...I have watched pretty much every single episode of cage fighting on spike T.V. as well as own countless videos on mma, such as king of the cag, K-1, UFC, and pride...I studied them all and I know how to fight really well, I have never lost a fight and I fight at school a lot...however I have no mma training. I want to start training but I am already 18, does that mean I dont have a very good chance cause I should have started sooner? should I look at a different career? I really like ufc and admire cage fighters...also how hard is it to get into ufc...I see people fight all the time on T.V. ufc and they are not very good, I could probabily actually take them LOL (some of the fighters not all of them) I am in good shape...what should I do? ok, apparently you guys dont understand what I am saying here...I never said I could kick any mma fighters ass, otherwise I wouldnt be asking this question, when I said that I could probabily take some of the people in UFC, I was mearly stating that there are some HORRIBLE fighters in ufc. so if those HORRIBLE fighters can get in ufc that means I have a pretty good shot. I know a shit load about mma, so dont say I am clueless...I purchase every ppv. ALL I WANT TO KNOW IS IF I SHOULD STILL TRY TO GET INTO MMA AND UFC EVEN THOUGH I AM 18 ALREADY! I dont care how long YOU have been doing it, or who YOU have fought and beat...or what challenges I will be facing,...I am WELL aware. thank you and have a nice day
looking for MMA, Or ufc Cages? where is a website that i can find local cage fighting tournamets,, i have been doing boxing,, freestyle martial arts ,, and mma for 7 months and i am looking for cage fighting tournaments,, i am only 15
cage fighting fakeness is ufc/mma/wec moastly wec played out or on the fakish side cause the last fight with urijah and pulver didnt seem right like urijah was way slower and not looking like he usually does. well you get the picture thanks
Which do you prefer UFC or Cage Rage? I think UFC has better fighters but sometimes the action is better in Cage Rage. Michael Bisping is really the only fighter from Britain to have success in the UFC. But I dont see him beating the likes of Anderson Silva and Dan Henderson. He has shown trouble handling guys with wrestling backgrounds like Rashad Evans and Matt Hamill. Paul Kelly is pretty good id like to see him face Diego Sanchez. I think as long as Kelly doesnt let the fight goto the ground than he has a good chance of winning. Overall countries like USA, Canada, and Brazil have much better fighters than the UK. But they are a few British fighters that can hang with the those fighters. I think Melvin Manhoef is actually a bad match up style wise for Chuck Liddell.
hello i just started training in jew jitsu? i want to do this until i get to black belt at what belt will i start getting good at it i want to do ufc cage fighting for my career can anyone tell me how hard should i train and what to pratice at home or become good
Do you think UFC will ever become a fight to the finish(death)? It used to be only boxing, then cage fighting with small gloves on. Now it's pretty much anything goes almost. Do you think there are many athletes out there willing to put their life on the line...literally for a championship? Will gladiator fighting make a comeback withing the next hundred years?
UFC vs. PRIDE? Now when i ask the question take in consideration that UFC uses a cage and pride uses a rope ring. The fight would be under UFC rules cause a cage fight makes more sense in the fact that the fight flows better cause its not haveing to be stoped to be moved back to the center of the ring. Look what to Rich when Anderson beat the dog crap out of him. looked like a boy vs. a man. could you imagin Tim Sylvia VS. Bob Sapp
Why are so many people so ignorant about MMA? [Or UFC or Ultimate Fighting as they incorrectly call it]? If I hear one more person say the "UFC" has no rules, its unregulated, etc. I'm going to puke. You do NOT simply throw 2 guys in a cage! These are the most highly trained athletes in the world. 1) THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "ULTIMATE FIGHTING" The "UFC" is the name of a company! Right now, it is the largest, but it is only 1 company, the sport is MMA - Mixed Martial Arts. A combination of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Greco-Roman Wrestling, Muy Thai and Judo just to name a few. A competitor MUST be versed in standing AND grappling styles - hence the term MIXED Martial Arts. 2) MMA is HIGHLY regulated. FOUR doctors at every event, Pre and Post fight medical evaulations. Medical insurance at the events paid for by the promotor. There is also random steroid testing at all times. 3) There are MANY rules all MMA events must adhere to enforced by state athletic commissions who are in attendence of every event. Unified rules available here: http://www.state.nj.us/lps/sacb/docs/martial.html
How would a strong bodybuilder do in a UFC heavyweight fight? I am into bodybuilding myself, but I always wondered how a big strong bodybuilder, with plenty of MMA training of course, would do in a MMA cage fight. I know that strength alone don't win a fight, but technique WITH huge strength should be very dominating. Like Brock Lesnar. But I'm talking about people the shape of Arnold (back in the day), Jay Cutler, and Ronnie Coleman. They'd have to work on endurance, tho. But wouldn't that be some awesome strength to bust out of a submission hold (if someone had one on them), or for some ground and pound! Kimo kinda proved this on UFC 3 vs. Royce Gracie. But I mean bigger and better. Anybody have any opinions???
pride and ufc? I think there is a lot of difference between the fighters to fight in cage and ring.Good strikers have the advantage in pridering and the fighters of great pushing power will have the advantage in cage. But ufc is more like fighting since in a real fight one will definetly get the chance of cornering the opponent. Now mine question is do you think fedor has enough power like couture and rampage to push the opponent to corner.
birthday gift for guy friend...? I've been seeing this guy for about 3 months now but we aren't offically dating. his birthday is in two weeks...what kinda of things do i get him? he's 27, plays basketball, likes watching ufc cage fighting, enjoys going out and haning with friends...
MMA/cage fights in springfield missouri? I want to take my husband to a UFC-type fight for our anniversary. We live around springfield missouri. Does anyone know of any around here or how I can find one?
Do you think the Cage is bad for mixed martial arts? I think it really is. I can gaurentee that if the UFC switched to the ring, it would have a even bigger appeal to more people, including hte Boxing, 40+ year old fans. I think it realy needs to stop now, the novelty of the cage is gone, people get scrathed and cut up on hte fence of hte cage. Alot of smaller orgs are swithcing to the octagon cage. Do you think it is bad for the sport? Say if someone died in hte cage, all the Senators would say that "oh its the human cockfighting in the cage". The cage also gives it hte "ultimate fighting" image, not a image of martial arts and skill. I just think that UFC should switch to a pRIDE-style ring. what do you think? well IVC used to use a ring that had a tight knitt mesh over all the ropes. it was like a cage but hte fans could see way easier and fighters didnt fall out. I think the UFC should adopt that. mma will nver be in the olympics as long as its in a cage. Here is my idea. Its taking hte IVC ring to the next level http://www.flickr.com/photos/34357343@N00/1086829116/
Lashley vs. Lesnar??? Who would win between Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar in a... WWE Match? Wrestling Match (As in college wrestling) UFC Cage Fighting Match Game of Chess? Also who is... Faster? Stronger? More Athletic? Better?
