Are pet flea products really safe for my dogs? This summer, the fleas in my area are awful. I have tried Frontline drops, flea shampoo, flea-misting my house, and flea powder in the carpets that you let sit and then vaccum up. Frontline works for about a week, and then my Maltese (small breed dog) has them again. So I decided to try a flea collar. But the warnings on it are scary. "If on skin or clothing: Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes. Call a poison control center of doctor for treatment advice." WTF? This is gonna be on my dog's skin 24/7 ? Is this really okay for her? Frontline Plus is what I use currently, the drops on the back of the neck. I wait the 24 hours my vet told me to wait after applying before bathing her, maybe I should wait 48?
