cage rage?? what a joke.? does any 1 out there thinck that ken shamrock took a dive, as with all the other top names that cage rage has shown, i know dan severn very well and he fought in cage rage, and he was asked to take a dive, i know this as i cornered his fight, it just seems that the uk mma ie cage rage just wants to make its name as big as every1 elses. shamrock is known for shooting in on oppenents but not once did he. its a joke that a company like cage rage can do this to this sport.
Which do you prefer UFC or Cage Rage? I think UFC has better fighters but sometimes the action is better in Cage Rage. Michael Bisping is really the only fighter from Britain to have success in the UFC. But I dont see him beating the likes of Anderson Silva and Dan Henderson. He has shown trouble handling guys with wrestling backgrounds like Rashad Evans and Matt Hamill. Paul Kelly is pretty good id like to see him face Diego Sanchez. I think as long as Kelly doesnt let the fight goto the ground than he has a good chance of winning. Overall countries like USA, Canada, and Brazil have much better fighters than the UK. But they are a few British fighters that can hang with the those fighters. I think Melvin Manhoef is actually a bad match up style wise for Chuck Liddell.
Can I cure my hamsters cage rage? I have a winter white dwarf hamster. I have had her for almost three months now. I accidentally trained her to get into a cup to come out of her cage. At first when I had her this seemed like a good idea because that way she didn't bite and I didn't lose her trust by flinching when she bit. However now I just got a new cage that has doors on the front and I can ge my hands in easier. I thought since the door was in the front it would be easy just to take her from the cage but she is aggressive and tries to bite when I try tO pick her up directly from the cage. It might be that i am nervous as well because I have never picked her up before. Can I fix this?

What is "rage in the cage" in regards to hunting? I may not have the phrase correct, but something along those lines. Is it a brand name or some type of hunting technique used on deer and bear? Oh my. Is that necessary for a whitetail? It seems really gory. I see it gives you a nice blood trail. Does it kill the animal faster? It looks like it ruins the hide.

why do people play games to test your character? It is not business It is personal dislike and you can not always work with people you like... Lots of lack of communication and things that people do not admit to tell the truth they say things and play and act like they did not say them and leave you in a fog like they want you to walk away and then behind your back make you out to be a insubordinate when you call them on their bluff...Then your a rage cage fool and act out and yell to get their attention and they walk away like you said nothing...They are full of it and you can not make them see you in the right way. They draw a line across your character and ignore you. You are at a point you need outside HELP to get someone to see your are being abused and at their mercy as they hold the job or the pomotion and you know where to act out and where not to act out and they know how to press your buttons or fire you or make you quit and then leave you with a guilt trip like you did all this to yourself...like you really needed them !

would you consider me a Martial artist? I hope this is the only time I will toss out this info. I am really curious weather people consider me a martial artist or not. I hear that I'm not alot, just wondering. -1- I know 0 kata, think they are worthless. -2- I'm sure that an average 10yr old could beat me in a point tourn. nowdays -3- Cage Rage 4 Middle Weight Champion (mma) -4- Was once a U.S.K.K. national point karate champion 1990 -5- Train in Aikido, Escrima/Kali, BJJ, MMA -6- don't want to admit it but I do have a black belt in Keijutskukai Aikido (I know I down belts alot, wasn't my idea instructor tossed a guilt trip on me) -7- Training in martial arts for 28 years -8- Always consider myself a student first, in any style I choose to train in. -9- I do teach Aikido classes at a Sho Rin Ryu Karate dojo in my town. -10- As well I teach and train BJJ / MMa in the "basement and garage" atmostpher. Rage in the Cage, MMA? this question is directed towards those with experience in mma does anyone know how many years the average RITC fighter has trained before entering a contract with them? basically what does it take to fight in a smaller professional mma event like that? how much more training would u need to be better then most of the guys already fighting in RITC? background - i am 18 just started bjj and muay thai one month ago. please dont say ask ur coaches cuz im training outside of the US where i practice at the only ligit mma gym in my country. i am moving to arizona in 7 months where i will train in AZ Combat Sports. if i show talent (for a beginner), which my coaches and more experienced training partners have told me, with continuous training how old would i be before entering a small pro gig like this. ( base ur answers on an average statistic) i dnt have a wrestling background other then wrestling in 9th grade which doesnt count for much.. too bad i changed to a school without a wrestling program.. but in my no gi class we practice takedowns and takedown defence.. i also plan to add an mma class probably a year or 2 after i join az combat sports, hopefuly that will help with some wrestling.. oh and does submission wrestling count as wrestling, or is just no gi bjj?

I think some of these mixed martial art promotions are rigged.? your thoughts please. People are always going on about wrestling being rigged which all true wrestling fans already know. The wrestling haters love to have a go a the fans but what about the likes of cage rage etc. It' funny how wwe are in talks with UFC about joining brands. Think about it, in UFC an odd punch gets thrown then they go down and roll about on the floor. You'd think the dominant opponent would finish the guy off with punches. If there are any cage fighters out there please don't come round and kick my butt. This is my opinion only....

Corporate Greed or Growth? UFC, after buying out Pride, is expanding into Canada, UK and parts of Europe; and trying to get licensed in New York. Proelite, owner of EliteXC, bought out Cage Rage (England), KOTC, and Hawaii's ICON. it seems ufc is expanding on its success, while proelite is cashing in on the growth of mma. however, will this benefit mma sport or hurt it?
Which do the British like the most? UFC, Cage Rage, or K-1. I think UFC is the best. Anyways all the top Cage Rage fighters end up in the UFC anyways. Most of the top fighters in the UK eventually want to fight in California or Las Vegas. Britians best fighter trains a lot in southern California. Cage Rage is alright they good alright guys. Most of the ex UFC guys fight in Cage rage. Brazilian Vitor Belfort is the current Cage Rage champ. Cage Rage is British but seems most of its dominant guys are either Japanese or Brazilian. K-1 is good. But doesnt incorporate all styles of fighting. Grappling is banned in K-1. Americans struggle in K-1 altough Quinton Jackson did destroy one of Frances best kick boxers. Americans dont come from the boxing, muay-thai or kick boxing background. Most Euros are better stand up fighters than the Yanks. But when it comes up to Grappling Americans Japanese and Brazilians rule. When K-1 champ Semmy Schilit fought former UFC champ Randy Couture. Couture kicked Schilits ass badly. Most American fighters come from a wrestling background. Most Europeans are kick boxing or boxing or Muay-thai. Europe has never had a grappling champion. USA has never had a K-1 Champion.
is sparring dangerous? i never really thought it was dangerous until i was watching the Simpson's today.i heard lenny say on it(now this was about cage rage) but it still got me thinking. he said "one bad hit and you could be bed ridden for life!" is martial arts this dangerous? if i spar with foot,head,hand,mouth and head guards am i at risk? what is the risk when you participate in sparring in mugendo kickboxing?
Pride vs UFC? Ok. I never got into the arguement much on acount that it is dumb. Now I have something to say. OK, crocop was suposed to dominate the heavy weight division. Jeff Monson submitted Fujita. Nick diaz submitted Gommy, and these aren't even really rank fighters in the ufc. Rampage was not the best he could be until he started training in a ufc camp. Anderson Silva dominated The 185 division but he lost in pride but I'd put him against Chonan now. And also he was really never a PRIDE fighter he was always Cage Rage. I think its time to admit that the best fighters in the world fought in more orginasations than just one. the best fighters around the world are from all around the world and fight were they want, Not were you want I don't know who gave the thumbs down. you all got one from me.

Weird Bearded Dragon Behaviors? Okay, so I haven't exactly been the best owner of a Bearded Dragon, but certainly not the worst. He is more than a year-and-a-half old and just got done with his first hibernation (I don't know the actual term) Anyway, he has been spending a lot of time with his beard black, which is also normal, and running along the glass to his enclosure, which I also assume is normal. Since he came out of hibernation, I have taken a sudden interest in him and have tried taming him. I have gotten to a point now, where, if he's calm, I can pick him up without him panicking. Today he did something weird. I let him out of the cage, trying to show him I trust him, and maybe make him "cage rage" less, and after I set him down, he did nothing for a few seconds, then took off running straight toward the door. The door has a large glass window in it. He ran straight toward the door and then tried jumping through the glass. I have no idea what he thinks he's going to find if he gets outside, or if he just wants to run away, or what. I don't want to let him outside, because he will obviously just run away with no walls to contain him. What should I do?
Why do MMA practitioners disrespect TMA so much? I know they may not suit those that train for real sport fights but some TMA do teach very fine qualities and if some people take advantage of this and set up McDojos you cannot blame traditional arts but rather the people that allow McDojos to be set up. I have heard so many cage fighters and MMA fighters of all sorts just utterly disregard TMA as a joke. If it is taught for self-defense and safe practice then who is to judge that it is not worthy of teaching. Many arts are taught with full contact sparring and have practical training drills to sharpen self-defense skills but also improve discipline, self-esteem and respect for others. Is it too much to ask that MMA fighters on this website not mock or insult TMA practitioners. Martial Arts are an art as depicted in the name, an art of fighting but only if needed not mindless beatings. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the likes of UFC and Cage Rage but saying arts like karate and Tae Kwon Do are useless just makes me angry. If anyone knows anything about martial arts then they would realise that it is not the art but the teacher and the student that may not nave the wit to realise that what is being taught is complete BS. I am asking everyone else's opinions, but I do not mean to insult anyone here. It's just that most TMA teaches people to avoid violence and that makes better people in most cases. I believe a mix of both is very beneficial but for one to call the other names is just downright pathetic and complete disrespect for an art. What do you think? No one here understands what I am trying to say, when I mentioned MMA people criticise TMA I am talking about the people I know and I am not insulting MMA itself. I just mentioned that it is very good but you guys have to understand I meant TMA is best for discipline and respect, not fighting (depending on the arts and teacher). So do not say I am misguided when I know what I am asking, I want your opinion on the subject, not your insults. By the way not everything in training has to do with fighting. Kata helps develop physical attributes so it is udeful for a fight when you have the spee, flexibility and co-ordination to execute a technique. Read the question properly before you answer, and I am not angry at all MMA fighters, just the ignorant ones. Why can't they just ignore TMA if they do not like it?
UFC: What do a lot of fighters leave? I love watching the UFC (and Exlite XC, WEC, Cage Rage .e.tc), but why do some great fighters leave? Also they get shut out while still in contract: i.e Arlovski all of sudden always on un aired fights/undercards ..etc Do fighters fall out with Dana White, are their contracts too restrictive or do they leave to have the fights/match up's they want or is it they are purely out of contract? Any ideas? Tao, I have to correct you, Arlovski is fighter Fedor in October 2008! Going to be a great fight! Agree with your answer about paydays, look at Nick Dias who fights in nearly every Elite XC!
McDojo's and MMA Championships-two extremes that have affected peoples' opinions on the martial arts? I love the martial arts dearly and am speaking out against the UFC/Cage Rage/Pride as well as today's "traditional" McDojo's (which,to briefly put it, teach redundant techniques and have little or no essential sparring or physical conditioning!) I understand that some skills are redundant today against attackers AND that physical conditioning (power, speed, endurance) is just as important as (or more important than) technique BUT it is unethical for martial artists to damage and almost maim themselves for other people's entertainment/money. Boxing MAY be more dangerous BUT it has padding and the damage is not as permanent as a dislocation/joint destruction;it is 2 atheletes at the top of their game going at it. It CAN also apply to Muay Thai-the strikes may be more powerful than MMA but are less dislocations than MMA AND there is no cage to hit someone against (unfair or what!). Even Jiu Jitsu with its locks/dislocations has no foreign objects (the cage) to hit someone against. I personally believe Bruce Lee would not have stood for this (like me), I believe he would have believed in CMA (combined martial arts):-wheras MMA is a mixture of techniques from the disciplines, CMA is gaining black belts in the separate martial arts and applying most of their techniques; not only does this LOOK better, it teaches discipline as well as showing specialisation in each.Not to mention there's no cage ;) the cage CAN be used as a weapon and using it to trap an opponent is just as bad answerer #2! #3, some don't tap out in time and people can be ignorant. Also, I said that unpadded kicks to the head are more dangerous than a boxer punch (which has a glove)

How many poster here realize that the UFC is not the only MMA promoter? I have noticed a few things that really bug me here in the martial arts section. First and foremost is that it seems to me that very few askers know how to use google. The vast majority of questions posted here can be resolved using a standard internet search engine. Second, UFC people. I would like to let you all in on a little secret. The UFC is not the only promoter with talented and interesting fighters. Stikforce recently held an event, and I did not see any of the recycled, poorly thought out questions the usually plague this forum after a UFC event. For the benefit of this section, I want to let people know that there are some good promoters and MMA new websites to help you stay up to date. Sherdog.com and bloodyelbow.com are great places to start your path to sport MMA know-how. Also, consider checking out: Beletor Fight WEC Cage Rage K1 kickboxing Strikeforce Also, fight replays can be seen for free on mmaliker.com pleas take notes and pass it on. Silent Rage? Burning in my mind, a thought i cannot deny; I just want to smash and crush the devil in my eye. Truth be told i bite the bit and hold it all inside; A writhering screaming demon that i find it hard to hide.
