Movie with spinning cage & bird illusion on the DVD menu? So I saw this movie a long time ago and don't remember the name, or much of what it was about. I remember it was some sort of magician guy. And I remember on the DVD menu, (where all the options are like play movie, subtitles etc.) there was a little illusion with a bird and a cage that was spinning around the bird. Anybody here ever seen the movie The Bird Cage? If you have, I'd like to know something: what would you consider the character of Albert (Robin Williams' partner) to be? Is he just a crossdresser for their drag show, or would he be considered a non-op transsexual? He did refer to himself as a woman near the beginning of the movie ("You think you know everything because you're a man and I know nothing because I'm a woman."). It seems like Armand (Robin Williams) considers him a man (uses masculine pronouns, etc), but Agador (the housekeeper) considers him a woman (calls him Ms. Albert and uses feminine pronouns). I am watching the movie "The Bird Cage" starring Gene Hackman and Robin Williams? Does anyone else think that Mitt Romney could stand in for Gene Hackman as the Right Wing Senator in this movie and how funny would that be in this election year? Hackman plays a Rwing Senator whose daughter gets engaged to a man who was raised by two gay men, Robin Williams and another actor I don't recall, who own a drag queen club. While meeting the boy's gay parent's at the apartment above the club the paparazzi gain wind of Hackman and his wife's presence and he is forced to leave undercover in drag. This is funny but the real story is watching the characters sort out all the nonsense as the fiances and two sets of parents hash out all the drama leading up to Hackman's drag revue. NOW can you see Mitt Romney in this role?

Need help finding a 90s horror movie name.? I am looking for a movie that was made in the early 90s (i keep thinking 93 but i am probably wrong) I saw it when i was a kid in the movie theater. The only parts i remember are: 1. a man is eating (take out) and the camera pans to this cage (about the size of a bird cage with an egg shaped top and flat on the bottom) and there is this skinny small creature inside the cage, it looked like the Ace Ventura monkey except evil, lol. 2. This guy runs into a diner (restaurant type thing) and he runs into the bathroom and starts making sounds like he is becoming a monster, however they don't show it happening, they only show him go in the bathroom and sit on the stall and show people looking towards the bathroom as the sounds of a monster come from the bathroom. 3. How could we get movie makers to promote picking dogs based on personality rather than what they did on film? I know most of you on here are very intelligent people who know how to pick a dog. On the other hand, most of the normal public isn't and they have those annoying kids that they will get anything for. Horses are often too expensive to just buy after seeing a movie. That or they don't have the space. Fish tend to just die...but most of the "nemo" (clown) fish were returned to pet stores and adopted out by people who wanted to add them to their nice, already established saltwater aquariums. Birds also have the same issue...cats...are just left to run loose (I rarely ever see a kid going "mommy I want a ____ cat!!" Dogs on the other hand, are easy to breed, have very poor quality food that can be bought for them, and can just roam free in the yard without buying a cage of any sort. I'm pretty sure, like me, some of you dread when another dog movie comes out because tons of that breed will be in the shelter a few months later. For you people who don't know what I'm talking about, basically when a movie comes out about dogs, tons of people get that breed from low quality breeders and find they can't handle them. Take 101 Dalmations for example. After this cute cartoon (and the movie) came out, millions of people bought these dogs from pet stores and BYBs and most of them went straight to the shelter. I know AKC released an ad a few years back where a little boy got a beagle for Christmas and then the animal was sent to a shelter because the boy got tired of it. I loved this ad but it stopped airing.

I need help finding a movie I saw when I was a child. Any takers? The details I have aren't that vague so from what I recall I watched this film in either 1996 or 1997 (the reason I say this is because I paused Tomb Raider 2 to watch it). The film's main characters include a young girl and boy (I'm assuming they were brother and sister), and one day while their baby sitter is watching them (a teenage girl), they sneak into either a basement or attic only to find a bird cage (I believe it was a bird cage) with a large owl sized bird inside that can talk. The bird and the kids forthwith go on an adventure to some jungle (when they release the bird). The bird flies them (and their baby sitter who grabs hold, or something of that nature). When they arrive in the jungle the baby sitter is captured by the inhabitant of a near by tribe and the kids and bird escape. They come across a temple (perhaps where the bird wanted them to go), and inside to fight a medusa like creature (a female). Anyways, the kids and bird destroy the snake lady and begin to fly home, while leaving they see their baby sitter and the tribe guy kissing or some nonsense, and she waves goodbye. The movie ends somewhere around this point. I have some strange feeling that this movie came on Nickelodeon, and I can't remember if it was a UK movie or American made, although it had a very charming UK feel. I fell in love with this movie when I saw it and I would appreciate it so much if any of you could help me. Thanks :]

I need help with old Horror movie/tv show??? I am not sure if it was a movie or an episode from . In it the main guy who might be-John Lithgow plays the role of a man who spends one last night in his apartment (home?) with his wife and they start seeing things. They are having their last meal with some friends and he sees a bird in a cage in a mirror even though his apartment is almost empty. Then during the night they see the ghosts of an old couple who they believe are former tenants (owners?). The old man is mistreating his wife and he later kills her. THere is a part where the old man is dragging a coffin very slowly. In the end you find out that old couple werent ghosts but actually the "new" tenants of the place and that the other couple(Lithgow? and wife) are the actual "ghosts". Any ideas?? It's not the others...its probably older than that! Set in more modern times I got the answer ....It was from a show called Hammer's House of Mystery and Suspense- episode "In Possession"

Movie where this lady tells a story about two birds? What is it called? The other day I thought of this scene from a movie that I recently watched. But for the life of me, I can't remember what movie it is from! There is this lady who is relating this story to another person. She talks about how she had two birds when she was younger (parakeets maybe?). She was so sad that they were always trapped in a small cage. So one day she decides she will let them fly about the room. She opens the door and one of them immediately flies out, but the other stays inside despite her pulling on its wings trying to coax it out. It's an animated movie of an elephant and he goes on an adventure. It's from the 90's or 80's i'm not sure? There's an elephant, and one day he decides to go on an adventure. He walks out of his house and bird in a tree (that's wilting) talks to him. He keeps walking and finds a baby pig that has wings. He decides to help the piglet finds it mother and they keep going. Then they find a scarecrow (I think), and he also joins them. They end up in the woods where a black cat tells them to be careful or something and then vanishes and a gust of wind knocks them into different trees where doors open. The piglet finds his mother in one of the trees in a cell. The elephant, piglet, and scarecrow find each other and leave. Somehow they end up in a whale that you climb down the blowhole and there's a hotel inside. The woman who works in the whale lives under the sea. Her husband is missing. So, the elephant goes to find the man, and ends up on a pirate ship where the lady's husband is. There's something to do with electric eels, then they eventually take the husband back to his wife and leave. They end up in like a palace where the elephant is in a library and there's a big, wise bird in a cage. The elephant accidentally knocks off a jar of liquid and the bird tells him to put some powder on it. It turns into a pink, crystal heart (which I remember very clearly). Then he pockets it, they think it is the emperess's magic or something. And she's been captured by some evil guy or something. Anyway, the elephant ice skates at one point. Eventually the emperess comes out in a garden and says that the crystal isn't the magic and instead has a thimble that has swirling colors in it. And the evil is defeated and the elephant goes back home (using an umbrella, I believe) and hangs the crystal in the tree and it blooms.

What is this movie?!?!?!? Okay, it's an older cartoon movie i watched when i was a kid, there were all these animals, I think they were dogs, and some other things. I remember only one part clearly, They were in this castle and an animal was in a cage, and then there were these birds, and stuff was falling from the sky in the castle that they were eating.. and they were singing about it. What is my bird doing!!! Is he crazy? Okay, I have a 1 1/2 year old Cockatiel, all of the sudden he is doing the strangest things! He has always been so sweet, gives me kisses, sits on my shoulder, walks around the house and comes to you when you call him, loves my long haired Chihuahua and now, he is like He*#! He whistles all time and says his name but now, when I am trying to watch a movie or having a conversation with someone, he screetches and whistles louder and louder, when I stop talking or push mute on the t.v., he stops, and he laughs at me..lol it is funny but it is getting irritating! Also just this last week, he started doing something strange with one of his hanging treats in the cage, he will sit on his perch with one foot grasping the toy (the other on the perch), he pulls it to him, he puffs his chest feathers out and rocks back and forth as if he is trying to mate with this treat...it is funny also, but I am not sure what he is doing, is this normal? is this puberty or what? He is my 1st bird. I know this is going to sound nuts, but when I got him from a breeder, even he was unsure as to the birds sex, the bird was only a couple of months old when I got him/her. I do give him ALOT of attention, probally more than I should, he is out with me all of the time, until recently when he started getting up on the ceiling fan and runs from me when it is time to go back in the cage. I think his wings need clipped. I would love to get another bird! What shredded the 2 guys in the para-sailing boat at the beginning of Jurassic Park 3? At the beginning of Jurassic Park 3, they are para-sailing near east La Sorna island. They kid and the older guy on the parasail go into the clouds. The line pulls them violently a few times. They come out of the clouds and their is blood all over in the boat, and everyone is dead or gone on the boat. So what killed them? All the flying dinosaurs in the movie are locked up in that giant bird cage and dont get released till later in the movie. Bird Problem!!? I found a pigeon, with a broken wing, so it cannot fly, I am sure it doesn't have bird flu, but how to I determone the gender, can I teach it how to deliver messages like the movies?? Do you know the name of this movie? There is this animated cartoon I watched as a child. I am 21 years old, so it was prbably made in the early to middle 90's. It is a disney movie set in an Australian desert. It has a young boy who gets kidnapped. There is a large eagle or some type of bird in it and the kidnapper is after the bird's eggs. Are birds killed in magic shows? While watching the movie "The Prestige" a trick is used, where the magician crushes a bird in a cage and then displays a duplicate bird that he passes off as the first bird. I'd like to know if this trick was ever really used and if it's still used today. I find it unlikely but I'd like to know if animals are harmed during magic tricks.

Interpret my dream please!? The first night i had a dream about one, it was completely frozen in ice, and it was sinking. And i was still in it, along with some other people who were just random people in my dream. And we ended up having to swim to this cave or something to be saved, but there was someone there and they thought everyone there was zombies. it was weird. some other things i remember seeing in that dream was a well. an emty broken bird cage, and thats about the only other details that really stood out to me. I remember in the dream though we were supposed to be seeing a movie and it turned out to be really happening. The next night, i had a dream we were on a ship, crossing the mississippi river, like we normally do when we go to missouri, and suddenly everybody ran to one side and it just tipped over. And because it tipped there was a huge wave, like sixty feet, huge, but anyway everybody that was on the ship hooked arms and sat on our knees and ducked. Then he says put a peice of millet in with it and get it. this is supposed to let the bird know hands are safe. This all sounds strange right? well in the movie the bird totally relaxes and eats the millet. I tried this with my parakeet and it ignored the millet and just bit my hands. is this normal or what? "So what do you want to do honey?" Nancy asked. We were in her car. "I dont know." I said back. "How about target?" She asked. "No, I dont want to." I told her. I put my face up to the bird. i wanted to get a closer look at the bird because it was so cute. I just wanted to squeeze it so hard. Lindy started to bob her head up and down real fast. She was spitting out her sead all over the floor. Luckily, Nancy was near by when this happened. She knew how to stop Lindy when she is acting up. "No Lindy! You stop it!" Nancy scolded. The bird just froze up. I laughed. Lindy always acted goofy when people messed with her or scolded her. That is what made it funny. "Come on, honey." Nancy said as she motioned me to come over into the kitchen with her. "Can I just have five more minutes with Lindy?" I begged. "No. You have had enough of that bird. You spend time with me now." She demanded. "Alrite." I agreed. I walked over into the kitchen and sat down at the table with Nancy. We talked for a bit. I showed her my myspace. She thought it was really cool. At the end of the session, Lindy was soaked with water and dripping. I noticed that I overdone it. I stopped spraying the bird. Lindy was already drenched in water. I blowed on the bird to dry her off. She didn't like that. So I stopped. When she doesn't like something, she bobs her head up and down real fast. Then Nancy snapped her fingers and ordered me to come into the kitchen. "Alyssa Zuber!" She yelled. She did that because she knew it made me laugh. I just snapped back at her to mock her. "Okay, Im coming." I said. Her house was so big. It took forever to get from the birds cage to Nancy's kitchen. When i went to the table, she had some more cake that stood infront of me. The food nauseated me. "Oh come on." I said annoyed as I rolled my eyes. I was so full from the big piece she gave me earlier. She just put it back into the fridge. Then she walked over to the birds cage and she noticed there was a big mess all over the floor. It was the birds food that she was spitting out. Nancy had a shocked look on her face. I could tell she was about to snap. Just kidding. She was completely fine with it. She puffed her hair again trying to fix it up. There was a mirror on the birds cage that she could look into. One of her sides was really messy. It was really windy that day. So her hair didnt look too good. Nancy just rolled her eyes and stopped messing with her hair at a time like this. She shook her head at Lindy in dissapointment. Nancy bent down and started to clean up the bird food as she scrapped it up into her hands. I offered to help her with it. my parakeet died. how can i overcome this? i had 3 parakeets. the incident happened somewhat at night. i was on my computer playing on a program and my sis was getting ready for a party. she left and after some time, my parents and little sis came from a movie. This is when my mom called me and told me that the bird's cage was knocked down. We went outside and saw that blood and feathers were around the floor. We saw that 2 of our birds were still in the cage alive. Then i saw the most horrible thing in my life. i saw my bird's head without a body. i wanted to cry, but i didnt. My Mom just complained and told me that we dont know how to handle the responsbility of pets. We cleaned the mess, and my mom just said to get on with my life and things happen. I dont know what to do. My bird that was killed was the nicest of them all. Anything good to watch/read? Does anyone know of any good movies or books that depict the romance of a man and a man(or woman and a woman) and thier lifestyle. Sure there is Brokeback mountain, Rosie's family cruise, the bird cage, (america and french versions), but is there any other movies that are any good that shows the struggles and the acceptance of the gay lifestyle. I ask because I am bored and this is all very interesting to me and I want to become a better gay person, no offence. If anyone has any good suggestions for movies or books(and places where i can find them) - don't care how old or what language(long as they have subtitles in english) Im serious about this so no hatters please and don't submit me any porn cause that is not what I am after. ACTUALLY I NEVER do, and I finally had the courage to ask my dad to go out with my guy friend and he was very upset, and so anyways my guy friend ended up waking up late to go, so my guy friend really wants to get another chance to go tommorow, I am down for it, but my dad says he is working a midnight (from 9 tommorow to 7 am) and wants to get some sleep, and I told him thats fine me and him can go later but he says NO I wanna meet him, I said you can at the movies but he says no, not like that. My guy friend is going out of town the whole week, and I really wanna go to the movies with him now its ruined, I feel like a bird in a cage. I am just so upset. IM 18 by the way

Silent Hill??? I have watched that horror movie,Silent Hill like 3 times and I still dont understand it!! Why is it that the woman,girl,and cop are stuck in Silent Hill and not the husband and the detective. What is up with that creepy Detective? Why does the radio and phone always static when they communicate? Who are those men in the protective suits in the school carrying the bird in a cage? And can someone please please explain the very end when the woman walks thru the front door but the husband cant see them? That really threw me off!! Thanx!!!

Angry Cocketiel Advice? Overall he is a good bird and a happy bird. I guess the person who had him before me said the other bird in his cage died (which may have caused him trauma) and that their kids poked at him a lot. I got him when he was one year old and he is now going on three. He won't let you touch him what so ever. He will hiss, thrash, and bite you if you try. We have tried by giving him treats and using handling gloves but that doesn't work. He will fly out of his cage and sit near us when we are watching movies or walk up next to my face when I'm laying down reading a book but thats about it. Lately my fiance has gotten him to go on his finger every once in awhile but he is still not very "ok" with it. Any one who ACTUALLY KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT BIRDS have any tips or advice for me? Otherwise i'm just going to call a bird rescue and ask them for advice on how to make him more calm to our touch.

And Zora Neale Hurston for her contributions to literature, including her most famous piece; Their Eyes Were Watching God..both these women should also be applauded for their role in Politics Josephine Baker, Dorothy Dandridge, Lena Horne… These 3 entertains rank as some of the most influential in black history. Baker, also known as the Black Venus, was the first African American woman to star in a major motion picture, and also contributed to the civil rights movement. Dorothy Dandridge was the first African American to appear at the Las Vegas frontier. She played roles in The Big Broadcast of 1936, Easy Street in 1941, and most notably; Carmen Jones in 1954. Lena Horne, still living, made her impact in films like “The Duke is Tops”, and also on the Broadway musical “The Wiz”, also contributed to the civil rights movement. Bessie Coleman, for being the first African American woman to become an airplane pilot, and also the first to hold an international pilot license, paving the way and making it possible for black women to follow in her footsteps if they desire. my budgie is blind and im moving my birds what should i do? i am moving my birds cause i put my aviary out side my sisters room and they are really loud of a morning at about 6 oclock so my only opption is to movie the birds but im not sure what i should do with my blind budgie if i should leave him in there with other parakeets or move him into his own cage he is the aviary with atleast 20 other birds 4 of which ckatiels and no one picks on him but the thing is if i move hime will he not be able to find his food cause he feels his way around the aviary when i cleaned it out once i removed the food for a bit and he was serching for the food for 10 minutes until i put it back in he has no site wat so ever he only responds a bit to light and thats it

Question about magic and birds? There's a moment in the movie "The Prestige" where a magician makes a bird disappear by squashing it. I've seen this trick and I never thought that they were killing the bird. Later, they solve the problem by an elaborate cage that allows the bird to escape. Please tell me that magicians aren't killing birds. If so, I would have thought that PETA would have jumped all over this. Can someone tell me how this trick works?

I need help with some scary type movies...Please help!? The first one was about a family who are trapped inside their house and the temperature keeps going up...they look out the windows and see some metal device is surrounding the house.In the end you find out the house is really a "Doll House" and they have been put into a oven by the brother of the little girl who owns the doll house. The next one might have starred John Lithgow?Its about a man who starts to see things while spending one last night in his home.He sees a bird in a cage while looking in the mirror but most of his things have already been moved out!He also sees the ghosts/spirits of some older people he thinks used to live there and the old man is mean to his wife and eventually kills her. There was a scene of the old man with a coffin with his wife inside. The last movie was a kid's type movie about some people getting ready to do a "haunted house" for halloween and a witch ends up turning some of the kids into their actual costume. Any ideas???

choose one wedding theme: the city or the garden? Would you like to help me and give me some feedback on these two "themes" for a reception? I like them both, but can't decide :( The first is a quintessential garden theme, a secret retreat full of lush flowers, birds, butterflies, and secret things (locks & keys). The birds are a special emphasis, because I like them so much. I imagine things like silk fans, lanterns, bird cages, umbrellas, tea-time, desserts. The colors are soft and easy on the eye, like peony pink, robin's egg blue, twinkle yellow, hydragea purple, etc. The second theme doesn't have a name, but it's very stark and modern compared to the first one. I was very inspired by old movie sets, which give the illusion of being in a city like New York, San Francisco, or even Seattle. I imagine things with harder lines, like bridges, chandeliers, the Empire State Building, the Space Needle, and things like that. It might be harder to translate to actual, physical details, but I'm sure you get the idea. Thank you!

my grand daughter age 12 is very mouthy to us.she does not help us around the house[except her room].i showed? her how to was clothes and dishwasher.she says she does not want to do jobs.i say we all help.my husband and i do the jobs.she does no sweeping or vacumming either[except her room].sometimes takes dog out.hardly cleans bird cage or feeds bird or fish.her mother died in jan 06.we have had custody of grand daughter since 9 mo old.she yells at us.so we yell at her telling her we are trying to help her that she needs to help us because we can't do it all.we are in our late 60's.high blood pressure too.we can't go on with this so i am calling a couselor tomorrow.she runs in house when i try to get her to sit and talk.i can't run that fast to get her to sit and talk.she lets her clothes sit on floor and does not hang them up.i have stopped washing her clothes.and we only take her to school and church as of this week.no movies or shopping etc.i try so hard to do the right thing by her.what would you do?and how?we raised 5 children but this child is very demanding and trouble.i tell her i love
