Where can I find decorative items like in the displays at Forever 21 stores? I work at Forever 21 and I love the things that they use in the display windows - vintage-esque bright colored bird cages, giant plastic cat statues, etc. For those of you who happen to know what I'm talking about - do you know where I could find some similar things (to buy)? This could be a long shot, but I thought I'd ask! Thanks

Where can I find a large, decorative birdcage? I don't just want a regular square birdcage. I want it to be round with gold bars and some intricate designs on it, like leaves and vines. You know? More like a decorative birdcage you display in your home? However, I would like it to have a swing inside and be larger than a regular birdcage. I want it to be about 6 foot tall and 3 to 4 feet wide. I know that a birdcage this large would probably be designed for a large bird like a cockatoo or a macaw, but that the design I am describing is not very functional for a bird like that. Perhaps this will be something I am going to have to have made instead of buy. Don't worry! Since I am aware that a round, decorative birdcage isn't very functional for a cockatoo or macaw, I don't need the cage to keep a bird in. I just want it styled like a birdcage. My girlfriend is moving in with me in a few months and I would like to buy a pretty birdcage to keep her in while I am at work or even sometimes when I am at home and just want to look at her in a cage. Sorry if that seems weird. Anyway, do they make birdcages like the kind I am describing or is this something I would need to have made?
help me arrange my new living room? we are moving into our new home and i have no idea how i am going to arrange the living room...im not very good at interior decorating...but my main problem is why should we put the couches? we have a reg sized sofa and reg sized love seat...the main problem is i do not want the couches near the front window (my dogs jump up and look out the window and break the blinds in our old house where the couch has to be against the the window due to a tiny living room) i made a kind of floor plan which is not really to scale but will give you an idea of the room layout...somebody that is good with this stuff help me!!! for our living room we have the previously mentioned couched, 2 large end tables, a large coffee table, corner tv stand w/ a 52 inch plasma, we have a large dvd case with fold out door, a stand for knick knacks, a decorative bench/chest, a large rug, an ottoman, a floor lamp, and 2 tower speakers, and an XL bird cage for our macaw (which may not go in the LR)...this is just what sits on the floor (ill worry about wall stuff later) can anyone give me some ideas on how to arrangethe furniture? Thank you http://i762.photobucket.com/albums/xx264/lannyfanny88/livingroom.png mel, that would prob work...except the bird cage...they arnt suppsoed to be near windows lol (incase of draft plus i wouldnt want some wierdo walking outside to see her and think he could get a few bucks for drug money lol...it happens)
On fairy stories by tolken?! please help ! i dont understand this passage on recovery? Recovery (which includes return and renewal of health) is a re-gaining—regaining of a clear view. I do not say “seeing things as they are” and involve myself with the philosophers, though I might venture to say “seeing things as we are (or were) meant to see them”—as things apart from ourselves. We need, in any case, to clean our windows; so that the things seen clearly may be freed from the drab blur of triteness or familiarity—from possessiveness. Of all faces those of our familiares are the ones both most difficult to play fantastic tricks with, and most difficult really to see with fresh attention, perceiving their likeness and unlikeness: that they are faces, and yet unique faces. This triteness is really the penalty of “appropriation”: the things that are trite, or (in a bad sense) familiar, are the things that we have appropriated, legally or mentally. We say we know them. They have become like the things which once attracted us by their glitter, or their colour, or their shape, and we laid hands on them, and then locked them in our hoard, acquired them, and acquiring ceased to look at them. Of course, fairy-stories are not the only means of recovery, or prophylactic against loss. Humility is enough. And there is (especially for the humble) Mooreeffoc, or Chestertonian Fantasy. Mooreeffoc is a fantastic word, but it could be seen written up in every town in this land. It is Coffee-room, viewed from the inside through a glass door, as it was seen by Dickens on a dark London day; and it was used by Chesterton to denote the queerness of things that have become trite, when they are seen suddenly from a new angle. That kind of “fantasy” most people would allow to be wholesome enough; and it can never lack for material. But it has, I think, only a limited power; for the reason that recovery of freshness of vision is its only virtue. The word Mooreeffoc may cause you suddenly to realize that England is an utterly alien land, lost either in some remote past age glimpsed by history, or in some strange dim future to be reached only by a time-machine; to see the amazing oddity and interest of its inhabitants and their customs and feeding-habits; but it cannot do more than that: act as a time-telescope focused on one spot. Creative fantasy, because it is mainly trying to do something else (make something new), may open your hoard and let all the locked things fly away like cage-birds. The gems all turn into flowers or flames, and you will be warned that all you had (or knew) was dangerous and potent, not really effectively chained, free and wild; no more yours than they were you. The “fantastic” elements in verse and prose of other kinds, even when only decorative or occasional, help in this release. But not so thoroughly as a fairy-story, a thing built on or about Fantasy, of which Fantasy is the core. Fantasy is made out of the Primary World, but a good craftsman loves his material, and has a knowledge and feeling for clay, stone and wood which only the art of making can give. By the forging of Gram cold iron was revealed; by Readings On Fairy Stories 20 the making of Pegasus horses were ennobled; in the Trees of the Sun and Moon root and stock, flower and fruit are manifested in glory. And actually fairy-stories deal largely, or (the better ones) mainly, with simple or fundamental things, untouched by Fantasy, but these simplicities are made all the more luminous by their setting. For the story-maker who allows himself to be “free with” Nature can be her lover not her slave. It was in fairy-stories that I first divined the potency of the words, and the wonder of the things, such as stone, and wood, and iron; tree and grass; house and fire; bread and wine.

Graphic Design or Photoshop help? I have to create a decorative or thematic cover for my final portfolio in class. I decided to try and design a picture of a bird flying out of a cage and up towards the sun and clouds. I want the bird to be green at first then end up changing from green to maybe yellow, orange, red, and finally ending up with amber. This change of color symbolizes the change I have made over the year and the bird flying out of the cage symbolizes my breaking free (has to do with the assignments in the portfolio) Can anyone help me or give me pointers on how in the world do I design something like this on a computer!!!???

I need help finding a large birdcage? I know it's a weird request, but I am a film student and I am making a short film about a sad teenage girl who was captured by a lonely old man in a mansion. The old man keeps her in a birdcage in his living room! Poor girl! Anyway, the birdcage I need is for her! The kind of cage I am looking for needs to be round, with gold bars spaced a few inches apart, but thick enough for her to grab onto. I don't want a massive cage. in fact, I want her to barely have enough room to stand in it...possibly 6 foot high on the inside, and about 3 foot wide on the inside. I also want a swinging perch inside for her to sit on. Anyway, I checked with multiple cage suppliers, but the only large cages they have are square, plain, and have thin, skinny wires as bars! They are meant for cockatoos and macaws and bigger birds. The one i'm looking for should "resemble" a small canary or parakeet cage, or a decorative antique birdcage, but be large enough to fit a girl inside. Does anyone know a good place to look? Please let me know if you think of anything.
Is it too late to teach my parakeets to talk? How do I teach them to talk? I have two baby parakeets that I got about 10 months ago--one is female, one is male. I've recently decided that I want to teach them how to talk, but I'm not sure whether or not it's too late. They live together in one cage, but I've heard that that makes them less likely to learn to talk. Could someone please tell me how to train them to talk, or if it's too late to teach them. Also, their cage is on a stand against the wall, and we have a decorative mirror hanging on the wall right above the cage. They both like to stand on top of the cage and look at the mirror--they spend a lot of their time doing that. Is that bad for them, should I move the mirror somewhere else? I heard that it's bad to have a mirror it you have one bird, but what about with two birds?
should i show this picture to my girlfriend? ok. so here is my deal. im casey. im 15 years old and my girlfriend kelly is 14. last summer, we went to the beach together and i managed to get a really adorable picture of her sitting on a rock wall along the beach in a cute little bikini. her sweet blonde hair looked gold against the sun and her eyes were blue and shiny. it was the most perfect picture ever! several months later, i was taking some pictures of some old things my grandma was selling at a garage sale and my eye happened to catch this beautiful little brass birdcage. it was a decorative birdcage-round with little gold leaves and vines circling around it. it had a swinging perch inside...you know? like a bird would sit on? so i took a picture of it! anyway, i let my deepest fantasies get the best of me and i went to photoshop and spliced the 2 pictures together. i had to erase both backgrounds from each picture, and i made a copy of the birdcage and erased the "back" bars of the cage via photoshop. i then, took the picture of my girlfriend and put her behind the cage and seated her on the swing. next, i put the back bars back in so it looked like they surrounded her. i adjusted the size of her and the swing to make it look like she was seated on it. after all was said and done, it looked like she was INSIDE the birdcage and it was such a darling picture. i then added a background of a beautiful garden behind her and made the cute little golden cage look like it was hanging in a gazebo. when the whole picture was done, it looked so perfect! my question now is: should i show her the picture or do you think it will embarass her? my older brother told me i should be ashamed of myself. he said that she will be humiliated if she thinks my sexual fantasy is of me holding her prisoner in a birdcage! but i think it's just an innocent picture and it's really cute! and i wouldn't really do that to her for real! my mom saw the picture as well and she said she thought it was really cute and that kelly looked adorable sitting inside such a pretty little birdcage. should i show her the picture or do you think it is a stupid idea? what do you all think? p.s.-there IS a small padlock on the cage door i am thinking of removing from the pic. i don't know yet. the padlock might make her feel like she is a "prisoner" in the picture.

Should I get some female zebra finches? Please read.? I have an aviary of a few different species of birds. Two albino ringneck doves (A pair, lays many eggs, but never ends up incubating them..), two budgies (a young pair, no eggs yet, since the cere's are just starting to change colour), two society finches (just got them a few days ago, can't tell much yet), and my two zebra finches. When I bought my zebra finches, I never got to pick them out, the worker did. I have recently searched online the differences of males and females, and they are definately both male. But the thing is, they really act like a pair. They almost never leave eachother's side, they always sing to eachother, and in the cage their are three nests. A giant duck decorative nest that my doves use, a water dish that the finches made into a nest themselves, and a new finch nest that I have just bought. The finches are always rotating between the three, and they sleep in there at the same exact time. I was wondering if it would be alright to get them both a female friend. If I got them each a female, do you think it would make it hard for them, since they have such a close bond? And is it normal for them to be this attatched to eachother. A few weeks ago, they both even got sick at the same time, and when they got sick, they just cuddled up to eachother, they even pass nesting material back and forth, and even feed eachother sometimes.
Where can I find a large, stylish birdcage?

Are my zebra finches about to mate (or try to)? I have a male and female zebra finch. I had them in a small cage when I first bought them and I put a woven bamboo finch next with some nesting material but nothing happened. I built them a large cage myself, nearly 6 times the size of their earlier cage. As soon as they moved in, within a day or two they started trying to build a nest, but instead of going into their little woven bamboo basket (that was specifically advertised as being a finch nest) they were piling the nesting material outside of the basket on the perch. Well, needless to say building a nest on a narrow perch wasn't working out. They would gob the nesting material on the perch until it got big enough that it would slide off to the floor. They would then just start gobbing the material on the perch again. I thought well maybe they can't get into the bamboo nest, so I moved the perch closer to the entrance. Still they wouldn't go in the nest, but continued to attempt to build a nest on the perch. Finally I removed bamboo basket and replaced it with a small decorative gazebo would be how to best describe it (more of a craft then something meant for birds really). But it provided a platform for them to build a nest, which they did. In no time they used all of the nesting material, so I went to my local pet store to buy more and it was their last box, so I once they used all of it I got some straw washed and properly sanitized it and put in there and they started using it to build. They have a lovely nest built now. But they don't sleep in it. Is this odd? They still sleep on one perch or another in the cage. During the day, they will get in the nest to relax, sometimes individually sometimes together, but they won't sleep in it. The nest is in a high corner but isn't fully covered, so they can't hide or get complete privacy in it, is this necessary for the mating to begin? Other than building a nest, what are some other signs mating might take place?
